It is International Women’s Day and Kim Kardashian is using the occasion to celebrate her favourite woman, herself. Using social media to garner attention, the socialite did what she does best: Took off her clothes and posed for the camera.

First, Kardashian shared a barely censored image on Instagram with the caption “When you have nothing to wear LOL.”  The transparent attempt at “breaking the internet” got a mixed response from people, including Piers Morgan.

“I know the old man’s $50 million in debt, Kim but this is absurd,” Morgan tweeted. “Want me to buy you some clothes?”

Music and film legend Bette Midler also chimed in by saying, “Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.”

Since then, there have been numerous commenters across the web who leapt to Kardashian’s defence. Some have rightly claimed she has the right to flaunt her body how she sees fit but took their advocacy a step too far by suggesting her actions benefit all women.

You know, because of feminism. Is #ArmenianGirlMagic an appropriate hashtag for this discussion?

Naturally, Kardashian rode the wave of support and at the top of International Women’s Day, she shared another nude pic with the caption “#Liberated.”
