The response to my review of Janet Jackson’s Unbreakable album has been great. So, humbled by your responses and requests for another music piece, I have taken to Trini Trent TV to discuss Tamar Braxton’s Calling All Lovers.
The followup to Love and War is a ballad-heavy album without a single featured act. Yet, her vocal performances are so strong that she doesn’t need a guest to help pick things up.
What Calling All Lovers lacks, however, are uptempo cuts to break the monotony of the mostly sombre album, which has opened with only 37, 000 copies sold. That will certainly make it even more difficult to promote beyond Adult Contemporary radio where BPM is the key to success.
Watch my review of Calling All Lovers to know my full thoughts. Even better, tweet it to directly to Braxton if you agree!
