The 2015 MTV VMA nominations have been announced, and Nicki Minaj wants us to believe her race and gender are the reasons for her not receiving the most nods.
If I was a different “kind” of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well. ???

U couldn’t go on social media w/o seeing ppl doing the cover art, choreo, outfits for Halloween…an impact like that & no VOTY nomination?

I’m not always confident. Just tired. Black women influence pop culture so much but are rarely rewarded for it. https://t.co/2xOvJzBXJX

But she didn’t end there…
If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year ????????????? — NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) July 21, 2015
Oh, there’s more….
When the “other” girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination. ??????????????????????????????????????

Isn’t it amazing how Minaj calls for acceptance by MTV – for shaking her backside – but showed little appreciation for her recent wins at the BET Awards? How convenient that she calls for equality for black women when she happily boasts about ending the careers of her peers.
Smiley face. Smiley face. Smiley face.
Watch me discuss all the drama involving Minaj, MTV and Taylor Swift’s response in the new episode of Trini Trent TV.
