Did you know Ciara released a new album this week? It is called Jackie, and if you wait a few weeks, it will probably be available for half price in a bargain bin near you.
As many of us have come to expect of Ciara, her music is far from inspired and most of Jackie – named in honour of her mother – is just filler. Yes, Ciara has dropped the ball again.
Ciara has not shown any growth or progression as an artist. After more than a decade in the music industry, she is still just a generic pop artist with little depth or apparent sense of self.
Even worse, Ciara still lacks the support from a team with the knowhow to effectively promote her music. Instead, they are relying on the tried and failed formula of a media takeover in the Jackie release week.
Where is the originality? Where is the innovation? Where is the effort to take Ciara to the level on which she should be at the stage of her career?
In this episode of Trini Trent TV, I do a quick review of Jackie, its marketing and Ciara’s career in general. Her fans requested this and I aim to please.
