People are around the world are often divided by nationality, ethnicity, culture, sexuality and even age. Yet, zodiac signs have a strange power to bring them together under twelve distinct banners.
Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces – those are the signs of the zodiac. They are also symbols that govern a range of generalisations cast upon people who believe in the mystic energy of the stars.
Naturally, I am a skeptic and I do not understand why people live their lives according to the day of the month in which they were born. Terry Torro, on the other hand, is an avid follower of the the zodiac, and in this episode of Trini Trent Radio, he tries to make me a believer.
There are people who make every decision of their lives based on the zodiac: Who they date, who they trust and who they marry.
The zodiac seems to have an even bigger influence on some gay men who are searching for a sense of belonging; the chance to be a part of a social group, since they have otherwise been marginalised by society.
Listen as Terry and I discuss these topics and more as we assess the impact of the zodiac on individual identities. We also share personal stories about being judged based on our signs as well as our interactions with people from across the board.
