All records, no matter how impressive, are meant to be broken. Such is the case even with Mariah Carey and her longstanding position as the artist with the biggest radio hit in history. Who dares to challenge the diva of all divas? The man of the hour, Robin Thicke.

While Carey prepares to fire a shimmering high heel through her car window at an expecting Thicke, the latter’s “Blurred Lines” continues to creep closer to her longstanding radio record. The song, which features T.I. and Pharrell, has garnered over 207.4 million audience impressions during its eight week atop the Billboard Hot 100.

According Nielsen BDS, Carey’s “We Belong Together” currently holds the title for the most audience impressions logged in a single week since the launch of the Billboard Radio Songs chart in December 1990. The tune spent a stunning 14 weeks atop the Hot 100 with an airplay peak of 212.2 million impressions in July 2005.
