Yes, I know I’m probably late to the party with this Burning Up feature on Alexis Jordan but being fashionably late is often a good thing. Singed to StarRoc – Roc Nation and Stargate’s joint label – first became popular in 2010 with a pair of back to back Hot Dance Club Songs #1 hits. Now, she’s back with an appearance on The Lava Lizard.

Jordan has teamed with J. Cole for a new song called “Acid Rain” from her upcoming sophomore albumĀ and it has taken the blogosphere by storm. Of course, that’s not surprising because the tune was crafted by Stargate in collaboration by Sia. Yes, those are the same people who made Rihanna’s “Diamonds”.

Listen to Jordan’s “Acid Rain” below:

    J. Cole clearly stole spotlight on “Acid Rain” but the song gave us a great opportunity to hear what Jordan can do with her voice. Basically, she is a far more interesting version of Rita Ora with just a slight twist of Sia and I sense that Jordan has what it takes to be very successful, specifically across Europe and the UK.
