    Alexandra Burke performs on 'The Voice (Ireland)'.

    Alexandra Burke won’t release her new single, ‘Let it Go’, until May 27th but she has already hit the promotional trail. The singer ventured to Ireland’s version ‘The Voice’ earlier today to perform the tune, which will appear on her upcoming ‘Heartbreak on Hold’ album.

    Burke’s ‘Heartbreak on Hold’ will be issued in the UK on June 4th. If you want a taste of the Dance-flavoured music on the record then watch her rendition on ‘The Voice’ below:

    Burke seemed more concerned with hitting her mark during the “routine” than actually singing. Perhaps she is still getting accustomed to the setup but she will have to do a lot better if she wants ‘Let it Go’ to be the breakthrough hit single she needs for this new era of her career.

    Thoughts?

      That could have been alot better!

      @jess Hi 5 to that!

      I love Alexandra, but that performance lefted me lackluster. First, her outfit was not showing off her amazing body. The hot pants made her look odd. And the bra………smh SACK THE STYLIST ALEXANDRA! PLEASE!!
      Secondly, there should have been a backing track because the performance felt meh. Her vocals were stronge but there wasn’t any “Wow” to what i was listenning to.
      Furthermore, i really think she needs to hire a creative director or fire the current one because this set up isn’t working. She has no idenity on stage. She needs to work on her stage presence. Maybe she needs to work with laurieann Gibson before she embarks on america.
      I see so much potential in her that it frustrats me when she isn’t living up to her potential. Rihanna only found her stride after her first two albums. Maybe it will take Alexandra the same time to really find her way.
      By the way, i LOVE this song. I catch myself singing to it through out the day. Video is boring.com

      People don’t give her enough credit, she sounded great, only sounding out of breath a few notes towards the end but thats to be expected. She kept up with the choreography. There was a clear distinction between the backing vocal and her vocals, she didnt rely on them one ounce. She hit the notes during the chorus and sounded identical to the studio recording during the verses, so i don’t see where the critique is coming from. How many people in the current pop climate can could handle choreo and vocals as well?

      What this performance needed was more exciting/creative choreography, styling and a much louder backing instrumental to carry the energy of the studio recording. Possibly a climatic dance break as well, Essentially she needs a new creative team.

      She slayed.

      Her voice sounded tired though – particularly at the beginning – but her technique was great and she gave a very solid vocal!
